About Us

The Southwest Education Alliance, Inc. (SWEA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves as the Regional Education Service Alliance (RESA) for local education agencies and other education institutions located in the southwest region of North Carolina.  The Alliance provides education services to its member organizations in the following ways:

1. Promoting collaboration and facilitating communication among its members.
2. Providing and/or supporting professional learning activities for education professionals.
3. Disseminating information, ideas, practices, and programs.
4. Promoting communication between member organizations and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, the North Carolina State Board of Education, the North Carolina General Assembly, and professional education associations.
